Hello RSS!!

 

One of my favorite quotes is: “Breathe, Darling. This is just a chapter. It’s not your whole story.” I am beyond thrilled to be starting this new chapter with the wonderful RSS community. I have been part of the REMS community since 2014, as a parent, community member, volunteer and most recently for the last 4 years, I’ve been the REMS librarian. So, it seems like a natural transition to go from elementary to secondary, especially since both of my kids, Cody and Chloe, will be here at RSS.

 

A little background on me. I have both my BA and MA in Elementary Education from Northern Arizona University, as well as a minor in Business Administration. A time long ago, I taught first grade for a number of years in AZ, until my husband’s job moved us around quite a bit. We moved from Arizona, to Texas, to California, back to Texas and then finally landed here in Colorado! I believe in the magical power of coffee beans, the healing power of a good book, the restorative power of an awesome run, the transportive power of music and that everything in life can be related back to a Friends episode.

 

Essentially I have been in education, in one form or another, for over 25 years. I am excited to switch gears to the operational side of education here at RSS. I will be mostly in the office, but on occasion spotted outside enjoying the sunshine. Stop by and say HI!
