Athletics

At Renaissance Secondary, athletics are an important part of our school culture. We believe sports build more than just physical strength—they foster teamwork, discipline, leadership, and school spirit.

Our Middle School Athletics Program competes in the South Metro Charter Conference, giving students a strong foundation in competitive play and the opportunity to try a variety of sports throughout the year. Each season encourages skill development, sportsmanship, and a sense of community among teammates.

Our High School Athletics Program follows the Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA) schedule, providing student-athletes with opportunities to compete at a higher level. Whether representing Renaissance on the court, the field, or the course, our high school athletes gain valuable experiences that prepare them for success in sports and beyond.

Off-Campus X-Blocks Athletics

If your student is interested in a sport not offered at Renaissance, state law allows students to participate in that sport at their neighborhood school. Many Renaissance students have enjoyed playing varsity sports such as football, baseball, tennis, and soccer at nearby schools.

This opportunity lets students stay rooted in the Renaissance community while experiencing the excitement of “big school” athletics. Through our Off-Campus X Block program, students can also earn PE credit for participating in sports at other area schools.
