Alexandria Burmeister

Hello historians! My name is Alexandria Burmeister and as a fourth-year social studies teacher with a passion for inspiring young minds, I am so excited to nurture students potential to become thoughtful, engaged crew members!

As a proud, first-generation college graduate from the University of Northern Colorado, and with my degree in Secondary Education and History, I bring a deep appreciation for history and its relevance in today's world to my classroom. My aim is to cultivate a keen awareness of the past and its impact on the present, hopefully inspiring these young minds to create positive change for the future!

While I cherish my time in the classroom, you can also find me about an hour North in Arvada visiting my wonderful mother and hilarious 7-year-old sister, Sofia! When my mom, older sister and I moved to Arvada from Minnesota in 2016, I never thought Colorado could bring me as many opportunities to learn and grow as it did! Though I miss the lazy lake days with my dad and extended family, nothing beats the beautiful landscapes of colorful Colorado. I am so excited to start this new journey with you! Let’s make this year a great one!
