Amy Stuart

Amy holds a Master’s Degree in Teaching from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Colorado, with an emphasis on Psychology, Biology, and Neuroscience. She is currently a doctoral student at Vanderbilt University in the Ed.D. in Leadership and Learning in Organizations program.

Amy has worked as a teacher and administrator, as well as in the business world. Her background in business and education, coupled with her passionate belief in the power of integrated, authentic learning experiences led her to become a part of Renaissance Secondary School. Amy served on the school's volunteer Board of Directors prior to being selected as Head of School / Executive Director.

Amy's time in the fields of business and education bring a wealth of skills from both areas to Renaissance. She has worked as a teacher in both Baltimore City and Denver Public Schools, as well as run several successful companies.

​

In addition to her teaching and business experience, she served as a school site coordinator for Teach for America. She has also served as a Board Director for a local government board and other local entities.
