My name is Laura Kalthoff. I am so excited to join the Crew at RSS! I am originally from Tennessee where I taught High School Biology and Environmental Science for 14 years. I spent the past 4 years teaching in China, Mongolia, and most recently on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota. I love inspiring students to solve problems about their local environment and can’t wait to come to Colorado to learn and develop solutions about all things science with my classes. 

 

I enjoy backpacking, doing yoga and gardening. My husband, Jeff, and I also love to cook together especially with foods we have grown ourselves. I have a 14 year old son, Blaise, who keeps me busy watching his soccer games on the weekends. 

 

I am honored to become part of such a wonderful educational environment and can't wait to meet everyone at RSS!
