I am so excited to be joining the Renaissance Crew as a school counselor! I recently earned my master's degree in counseling and human services from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs after completing my bachelor's degree in psychology at the University of Mississippi.
I first fell in love with the mental health field while working at a residential treatment center supporting perinatal women and their children as they navigated recovery from mental health and substance use challenges. That experience sparked a passion for walking alongside people during life's most difficult moments and ultimately led me to school counseling. After completing numerous clinical mental health and school counseling internships and serving as a full-time school counselor, I found that my favorite part of the profession is helping children and adolescents through some of the most exciting, challenging, and formative seasons of their lives.
I am passionate about supporting not only the human sitting in front of me in my office, but also their family, school, and community. I deeply resonate with the Crew philosophy at Renaissance because I believe the best support comes from strong relationships and collaboration. My goal is to help every student feel seen, supported, and empowered to navigate adolescence while building the confidence and resilience to pursue whatever adventures await them after graduation.
When I'm not at school, you'll usually find me deep in the woods or high up on a mountain enjoying the outdoors with my friends and loved ones. Whether I'm hiking, camping, running, or skiing, I feel most at home outside. If you ever want to swap hiking trail recommendations or tell me about your latest outdoor adventure, my door is always open!
