Middle School Science
I am thrilled to join the Renaissance community as a middle school science teacher. Throughout my career, I've had the opportunity to serve as a science teacher, instructional coach, school leader, and educational consultant in both Colorado and the United Arab Emirates. While those experiences allowed me to support schools and teachers around the world, they also reminded me how much I missed working directly with students.
I earned my bachelor's degree in Biology from The College of Wooster and my master's degree in Environmental Science from American University. What excites me most about Renaissance is the opportunity to teach science the way it should be....through meaningful, real-world experiences. I've always believed students learn best by investigating compelling questions, collaborating with others, and making sense of the world through curiosity, evidence, and problem solving.
I grew up in Connecticut but quickly discovered that Colorado was the perfect place to call home. When I'm not teaching, you'll usually find me planning our next adventure with my family, including our intrepid son and our new puppy, Parker. We spend as much time outdoors as possible hiking, skiing, camping, and discovering new places together. I love traveling—whether it's exploring another country or embarking on a family road trip to find the world's biggest ball of yarn!
I can't wait to become part of the Renaissance Crew and explore, learn, and grow alongside my students and their families.
