Music
My name is Emily Stover (she/her), and I’ve been a music educator since 2009. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois. In 2013, I took a one-year leave of absence to pursue a Master’s degree in Arts Administration at Goldsmiths, University of London.
I began my career in Princeton, Illinois, where I taught beginning band, middle school choir, and elementary general music. In 2018, I moved to Colorado and joined Mapleton Public Schools in Thornton. Over the next seven years, I taught K–8 general music at an Expeditionary Learning (EL) school and later directed beginning and middle school choir within the district’s Performing Arts Department. In 2025, I joined Renaissance to support and expand the music and performing arts program.
Outside of the classroom, I serve as the Music Director at Highlands Lutheran Church in Denver. I accompany weekly services and direct both the adult choir and the handbell ensemble. I also perform with the Rocky Mountain Ringers, a semi-professional handbell choir based in Denver.
I enjoy spending time with my husband, Brandon, and our two sons, Coen and Luka. We love exploring parks and playgrounds around the Denver metro area, hiking, and playing board games together.
