Jocelyn Cortez
Social Worker
I earned my Master’s in Social Work from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO, and I am passionate about helping children and adolescents navigate difficult emotions and experiences through evidence-based and creative approaches.
With experience in both school settings and private practice, I have supported children, adolescents, and families facing challenges such as depression, anxiety, behavioral issues, grief and loss, emotional regulation, and relationship difficulties. I find deep fulfillment in watching students grow more connected to themselves and their emotions. My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and empathetic space where students feel truly heard and valued.
Outside of work, I enjoy watching movies, baking, traveling, trying new foods, and spending time with my Miniature Dachshund, Aspen. Two of my favorite places I’ve traveled to are Kyoto, Japan and Rome, Italy!
I’m thrilled to be part of Renaissance Secondary School and look forward to another incredible year ahead!
