Gina Mead
Counselor
Hi! I'm Gina Mead, and I’m beyond excited to join Renaissance Secondary as a school counselor. I truly believe that kids and teens are some of the best people on earth, and I love supporting their academic, social-emotional, and post-graduation goals. I think that nature can be our wisest teacher, a belief that drew me to the Renaissance community.
My roots in Douglas County run deep—I'm a proud DCSD graduate, and both of our kids are as well. Having worked in Douglas County schools for many years at both the school and district levels, I deeply appreciate the incredible support we offer our students, as well as the challenges they face. In addition to being a licensed school counselor, I am also a licensed professional counselor and have worked in a variety of settings, including private practice and as a grief counselor. No matter the setting, I’ve learned that relationships are the foundation of meaningful support, and I strive to be present, authentic, and compassionate with everyone I meet.
Outside of work, you’ll find me exploring Colorado’s beauty with my husband, our two adult kids, and our pup, Charlie. I’m thrilled to be part of the Renaissance crew and can’t wait to connect with this incredible community!
