2019 Board of Directors and SAC Elections

Elections for the Board of Directors and School Accountability Committee will occur the week of May 6th. Renaissance families with a student currently enrolled will receive one electronic ballot. Ballots must be submitted by May 10th at 5pm. Nominations must be received by 5pm April 19th. To complete a nomination or self-nomination click on the appropriate link below.

Board of Directors

(one seat currently held by Deborah Lemmer who will be running for re-election)

The Renaissance Secondary School Board of Directors consists of five volunteer voting members responsible for governance of the school.

 

Ideal candidates should have:

  • a passion for the mission and philosophy of the school;

  • experience and/or skills relevant to non-profit governance;

  • time to commit;

  • willingness to serve as a governor (fulfills governance functions), ambassador (reaches out to the community), and sponsor (gives time and/or money);

  • ability to understand the distinctions between governance and management;

  • A positive can-do attitude!

The Board of Directors meets 1-2 times per month.

SAC ("School Accountability Committee")

(one seat currently held by Brittnie Coveney)

The School Accountability Committee (SAC) is an advisory committee that advises the Head of School on school performance, budget priorities, and parental engagement. The purpose of the committee is to inform, encourage and provide opportunities for parent and community members to be involved in the planning and evaluation of the school’s quality improvement processes.  

The SAC meets once per quarter.
